Day of Hope
We invite you to join us on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, in support of our annual Day of Hope event benefiting patients and their families at Mission Hope Cancer Center - Arroyo Grande.
Statistics show that four in 10 Americans will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetime. These numbers profoundly affect us, our families, and our community here on the Central Coast. This is why Dignity Health, in partnership with the Santa Maria Times, proudly hosts Day of Hope each year to raise awareness and funding for our loved ones, both past and present, in their battle for life.
On August 26, teams of community volunteers will take to the streets, intersections, parking lots, and public spaces throughout the 5 Cities in groups of various sizes to collect donations of $1.00 or more in exchange for a commemorative Day of Hope newspaper. Participants also have the opportunity to fundraise virtually, either individually or as part of a team, through personalized fundraising pages that can be shared with friends, family and colleagues via email or your favorite social networks.
One hundred percent of the proceeds collected during the Day of Hope remain in our community, supporting programs and services for cancer patients and their families at Mission Hope Cancer Center - Arroyo Grande.
